average rank

ok, i'm not exactly a "noob", but I guess I sort of am for asking:
how is average rank determined? I was looking at my profile and saw my average rank was 40,000 or something pretty high so just wondering. thanks for any help!

Every non-token/skill token song counts against your average rank. Basically, bring down your ranks in each of those songs, and your average rank will go down.

Keep in mind that for older songs your rank will be lower than on newer songs because so much more people have played it.
