    spead help

I am trying to switch from my current style to spread to help out on the very difficult songs. The long runs are getting pretty hard when they move fast and spread looks to be a very easy solution. The only problem I am having is that all the arrow keys are really close together and i cant get a comfortable position with both hands overlapping eachother. Is there any mods that people use to use like the regular alphabet keys so they are all in a row? Or do i just need to suck it up and play uncomfortably?

Read the stickies. You can use Autohotkey to use any keys you want.

As a very helpful person once told me, you can also use the numpad :] Quicker solution than autohotkey.

The numpad is awesome. I removed all the keys from it except for 2468... I've been thinking about painting little arrows on them.

Also, using the arrow keys remains the most manly way to play.

          Manly like a guerrila

I've just tried the numpad for the first time myself to test it out and its not too bad. If having fingers crossing into eachother is your only problem then the numpad is a quick and easy solution.

The style i picked up uses both. Left and down on the arrow keys with one hand... 8 and 6 for right and up with the left hand :]
