    arghh question about spread

up until today i've used the standard arrows to play, 4 fingered, using both middle and both ring fingers (not sure if this is weird or not)

I decided to check out spread, and now im using the SDKL layout

the problem is at faster parts (im not talking about crazy jacks, just quick jumps and stuff) im nearly positive im hitting the parts fine, but it doesn't register

does it make any sense that don't register as well as others?

*edit* streams seem to be perfectly fine, no matter how fast, but jumps dont register at higher speeds

It's probably your keyboard not registering the two keys at once. A lot of keyboards don't register the two keys that are next to each other at the same time.

well i can hit most jumps just fine, it's just the faster one's that don't want to register, and like i said i'm 90% positive i'm hitting them perfectly

This is why in many cases, people playing spread seperate the class of keys that they are using, because some keyboards are really picky about that kind of thing.

If it's too awkward to use keypad left/down and numpad 8/6 (which is how I play spread, and a way that doesn't actually require any keymapping at all) or you really like the "two keys beside each other on keyboard" style, you might try as and l; or as/sd and ,. or ./

How do you assign keys? And is this in SM or FFR?

Though before you necessarily go downloading and installing new stuff to bind keys, I'm pretty sure Synth said somewhere that an option to bind whatever keys you liked, native to FFR was coming soonish.
