This is probably a really dumb question, but what are av misses? i have no idea.

When frames from one arrow overlap with frames from another arrow.

This makes an average on an arrow register as a miss on the arrow after that.

LOL no a av miss is where you hit the arrow and it counts as both a arrow and a miss so you lose combo and get a average
