about the .67 update..(ranks)

how does the ranking system work? as well as the 'your best rank'. my best rank seems to change ever time i finish a song.. and it really doesnt seem to make sense. can anyone explain the way it works to me?

Okay...
Once you finish a song, it ranks your performance on that song to all others and shows what score you got compared to them. Your best rank
is your best performance on a specific song. The ranks are only on songs, not overall.

Let say you played a song and you got rank 4000. Well the next time you play that song your best rank will be 4000, but if you get a better rank likek 3000. It will still have your best rank as 4000 until you play that song again. yes i know I made it sound even more confusing.

I'm not totally sure..but I think it tallies your score against every other score that's ever been put up for that song, and it orders the players by score, largest to smallest, and gives them a rank number.

its fricken simple, u get rank 1 on all the songs and then u dont have to get confused on best rank and song rank

I think the ranking is kinda messed up though. I ranked like 500 or something for 'Ingenuity' And I would barely consider myself an 'intermediate' player. Do other people really suck THAT much? or is there a bug in the system?

I think that isn't a bug, just not many people have played this song.

Yeah, I tried it and got all boos and it said i was only ranked 1747th or something... on some songs you get rankings of 5000+ when you do that.
