Errr... how do I setup an avatar for myself on FFR?

Go to profile and go down...there should be a place where you can update an avatar from you computer.

EDIT~It is under AVATAR CONTROL PANEL, not that that helps. Just wanted you to know.

At the top of this screen, when you are logged in the are links: FAQ, Search, memberlist so on, so on. Click on the link that says profile, go all the way down and you should see avatar control panel. If you don't then that is all I can help you with.
