    Hello^^

Since there seems to be no general presentation thread, I'm making a thread here...
Well after seeing this game at a friend's (thanks Simon), I've decided I would get addicted (I'd have been addicted to DDR if I had the money to buy myself a ps2 and the game ^^' )... and so I registered here... pretty frequent story I guess...
Anyways, if I have to introduce myself... my name's Elisabeth (but call me Liz or Ale), I'm 19, studying biology...
I'm a reading freak, a manga fan (but I put quality over quantity), I write (rather well), draw (rather badly), and sing (well, at least ONE thing I can be proud of).
I was wondering, this question probabaly has been asked before, but how come in FFRresonance some songs that are supposedly at the same level have nothing in common? I mean, some are dead easy and some I don't even have the time to see the arrows coming.
And even though I do'nt plan on making some right away, what do you have to do to create your own steps?

    Welcome! As for your questions:

FFR does not create steps; individuals do. Just regular people that (most of the time) have little or no skill at making steps. That is why they are so variable.

If you wish to make the arrows scroll up the screen more slowly, change the url to speed=1/2 instead of speed=3(default).

http://www.stepmania.com/ is very much like FFR, although it is more complex. It allows you to play songs that you have downloaded off the internet, make steps for songs, and more.

Hahaha thanks *hugs all those who answered, and double hug to phe0nixblade*
I'll try to look for stepmania, thanks^^
Oh, and last question, I'm not used to the earliest message being displayed first, is there a way to change that in the forum settings?

ABout the speed, I'll keep practising at that speed, it'll make my reflexes better. But I tried the "mask half of the screen" thing, and it doesn't work for me for some reason... probably because I never watch the top line with the arrows, I watch the bottom of the screen where they first show up...

              Re: Hello^^

actually masking the screen is what people used before speedmods to make the arrows seem faster. however some people tend to use masking still out of habit or some other weird reason

So basically it's to train with supposedly faster arrows?

Yea because it'll in time increase your reaction time. By increase I mean make shorter.

                    Yeah, I'd got that one

Oh well, once I get a LITTLE better i'll do it^^
For the moment, working on ones where the arrows are already really fast is all right for me XD
                    Thanks for your answers everyone^^

I can make a tutorial of Stepmania for you, how to play it, put songs on it, etc. etc., because Stepmania has NO songs on it when you download it.There are some songs you can get from Stepmania.com, but I prefer to make my own.

I downloaded stepmania and one set of songs, but it's true that there aren't many... and they are short.
So yes, a tutorial would be more than welcome. Especially on the "making songs" aprt. And if you have any nice ones (especially some with steps that aren't on the beat, I like challenging things and I think they're more interesting than the ones that just go fast), is it possible to send them? If not, don't worry, I'm rather noobish so I ask stupid questions><

Well one thing I have to say about StepMania... gods, it's harder to get the arrows... but on the ones I hit, I still have as many marvelous, so I guess I'll adapt
