I am trying to do a portable storage thing with a can of a body spray and I need some tips on how to pry a metal ring off easier with a flat head screwdriver.

Just a thought I had after reading your post and not thinking...

You will need:
A flat head screwdriver
Can of body spray
Small piece of wood

Take the small piece of wood and place it on the can. Take your screwriver and nudge it under the metal ring as much as possible. Rest your screwdriver on the piece of wood. Now push down on the side of the screwdriver that has no load on it, in this case the handle.
