To gain multiplayer levels, you simply have to beat people by doing better than them at the song that you were playing and do it repeatedly until the colored bar (red, yellow or green usually) behind your multiplayer level number fills up (gets larger and gradually goes from red-yellow-green) and gets to the end, therefore gaining a level. Beating lower level people will not gain multiplayer levels as quickly as beating higher level people, and it is entirely based off of how well you do against certain people and how often you win.

I remember you from MP. Use your grammar correctly and go to the token thread in the FFR General Talk. Your MP level goes higher if you beat your opponent at a song. It goes lower by how bad you do.
