Examples of an uneducated vocabulary include: netspeek(1337 Speak, 3117 Haxxorz etc) aim lingo(hey was ^, yt? brb, lol, g2g). Stay away from shorthand. Type everything out. Also, punctuate correctly. This makes a huge impact on your post, it signifies coherency and organizes your thoughts into easily separated ideas. Always capitalize where necessary, and use all periods, commas, and apostrophes.

If this is a supposed rule, then why isn't there something/someone to inforce it? I realize that it's nearly impossible to inforce it on everyone, but why isn't there a filter, like there is for the profanity?

Well, that is true. :/ Wish there was a way to make it a rule though. Alot of people would benefit from it I think. Learning proper grammar and such is a good thing for when you get to college/real career tracks, and you have to write reports/presentations/papers, etc.

Just my opinion though.

Some people are just too damn lazy and probably aren't willing to change it. I mean, if they want to fail so badly at the language they speak, then so be it. It's none of our concern whether they fail at life or not.

Can you really make a filter that can translate IM speak?

Think about how people use capitals, numbers and symbols either to replace a letter, word or syllable. Wait! And with the millions of combinations of ways to use those...

I will feel sorry for that poor filter.
