Heya ^^ I'm semi-demi new (I suppose?), thought I'd just pop in and say hi...

Been a fan of DDR for a while, especially some of the somewhat-tougher stuff like Paranoia Survivor and Sakura...but...I sortof have a little trouble playing FFR for some reason, unsure if it's natural latency or what =/ If anyone could give some sortof tips to help me figure it out, it'd be greatly appreciated...

Anyhow, look forward to chatting with you guys sometime!

hmmm... can't relate...
I played DDR.. But I cheated and used the controller.. not the pad..
Maybe try using controller if you aren't already..

Also try mixing up your finger arrangements: you can use the number pad keys 2:down, 4:left, 6:right, and 8:up instead of using the normal keypad. That may help you.

I try to play in rhythm with the song but constantly seem to be getting "Good" and "Almost"...I'm wondering if perhaps it's just computer lag or some sortof latency issue, or perhaps the song steps may just not fit the rhythm properly? =/

I can AA/AAA stuff on StepMania 3.9 easy enough, so...I'm sortof unsure.

Some of the all-blue-arrows songs aren't synced perfectly, but if you're playing newer songs, then it beats me.

Being good at FFR is different than being good at SM. I've lost all of my SM skill. But yeah some of the older songs are off sync or not stepped to the beat but all of the newer songs are.

In additon to older songs being off-sync. FFR is a completely different game when you compare it to SM and/or DDR.

I would say try spread, and screen shrinking if your already playing faster songs, or even if your not. I only played one handed for... i don't know 2 days? And when i srcreen shrunk the first time, i did much better than i did normal screen.
