Hey, I'm Fatal.

I was referred here by a friend. I haven't played anything yet, but I read the stickies and wanted to introduce myself to the community.

It seems you guys have a really nicely run system here on the forums. It's nice to see, as some nowadays are pretty messy.

Heh, thank you for welcoming me so warmly to the community.

I find that your system here is pretty strict and tightly run. Not only that but your admins seem to be fair and pretty nice.

So, how long does it take one to stop being labeled a n00b? :P


Edit: After surfing the forums, I feel sorta outcasted. Is there a way I can get a good start without looking like an imbecile?

Well right now you're not a n00b. If you said something along the lines of "hai guyz im nu hre. i cn pwnz u all" then you would be considered a n00b. N00bs are just annoying forms of newbies.

You shouldn't feel outcasted, but surfing the forums is a good idea in my opinion. I think that just something you should be careful about is picking fights with the well resptected members. Not only are we strict, I guess, but we're also a tight-knit community, so basically, it's like a "clique" if you catch my drift, and usually it takes time to allow people "into it".

It sounds so much like high school or some crap like that, but no matter how much people deny it, it's just that way. I also wouldn't venture into The Garbage Bin just yet either. >_>

So, really, the only thing you need to do to slowly start getting liked by the forum regs is to just post well, you know? Make sure you're not being a smartass or getting way in over your head, that's what usually makes a newbie look bad. :/

The admins are nice if your on their good side...Don't cross them they ain't the nices people to deal with, but most of them are!

@jugglinguy - Thank you :] It's nice to know that I'm not annoying or stupid. Now that I've done some more thread surfing, I can see what n00bs are. >.> It's sorta scary :P

@rshadow8888 - That's something I wondered about. Bumping is frowned upon in other forums I participate in as well.

@Nyokou - I got that feel as I was surfing. I can see who is respected, and who isn't in this community, and what happens when the proper respects aren't given. Thank you for the advice, and the welcome :]

@Pikachu655 - Yes, generally, upsetting the uppers isn't exactly smart. It usually ruins you for awhile. Though, that depends on what you do. Hopefully, I won't do anything stupid, and ruin my chances of getting liked :]
