Woa, don't get too carried away! That kind of formula might take a lot of thinking.

Right off the bat I would say it should be a combination of the highest ranks you earned on songs [that you have played, based on score] and your grand total. An average, maybe? And maybe that average could be your rank. So basically, if everyone did that. it would all go down like this: The higher your number, the more likely you would be able to beat somebody, depending on their rank.

Ok, so I spent a little thinking time on that.
