    noob thread with a purpose

Brand new to FFR and having a good time with it. I just found the place wondering why i hadnt heard of it before. I've read the rules and stickies so dont be expecting any of the noob posts from this end. just a couple questions though: 1. on the SimFile DB what does "time change" mean and does it basically mean i just cant play that one? 2.ive heard talk about a song editor so you can make SimFiles, where would i find this? Thanks in advance for a response and i look forward to contributing to the threads and racking up the high score charts.

I'm pretty sure the Time Change means you can't play, and you can find the program to make songs at www.stepmania.com. Oh, and welcome to FFR. =)

Time change means in the song file, the BPM changes, and thus is not compatible with FFR Resonance. To play these songs you must download stepmania.

thanks for the responses it helps alot. even though the FFR forum isnt the best place to ask this based on the likely biased response(no offense meant) i will get; how is stepmania as a game? i havent tried it yet and wondering if its worth the download.

It's worth the download for when you can't play FFR. FFR is better in my opinion but many people disagree. You should definitely download SM.
