I do actually support this, but I don't want to be put on your list because I think it's pretty silly. I mean it's common sense to use the edit button, you don't need a thread, you just need to stop those people who fail to use it by pointing it out to them, reporting them, etc.

How about taking some action rather than posting in one thread about it.

No, it wouldn't help. This should never be a sticky because it's one point that everyone knows. Did you even read my post, I said that this thread is useless and that if you actually support the edit button then you'd be stopping people when they do it and reporting them and such, rather than staying in this thread going "oh edit button lala!"

Edit: Nevermind, it doesn't seem as funny out of context.

Anyway, the only use I can see for this thread is to educate people who see it in the newbie forum. I think that is its original intent. And the only way that will work is if newbies actually look at the threads. But that's true for everything, including stickies, announcements, rules, etc.
