im not really a noob to the game just a little behind on ffr, is there any way to use the settings while playing ffr?

You have the ability to use the "affects" "appearance" and "dark" settings. Just click on settings and the ones that aren't grayed out are up for grabs for you to use.

Then wait for third style. You can't change any of the options that are grayed out until then.

Speed mods arent available in R1. They will be in the near future release of R3.

It's called 3rd Style, not r3, and there is no set release date.
