Running Man - Pattern where there is one constant arrow hit with 2 arrows alternating in between. The two alternating arrows must each be on the same side of the constant arrow, otherwise it's a mini-staircase or crossover staircase. Very challenging pattern for spread players to master.

A white flag is really all marvs and one perfect. All perfects and one boo is called a booflag.

Spread can also be using other keys, such as askl by using autohotkey.

There are more patterns that could be added to the list, like staircases (4286824286824286824286824...), gallops, (828, or similar patterns quickly), minijacks, which are like jacks, but with only 2 of the note in quick succession, etc.

Also, how come you said what spread was, but not any other playing styles, when, sadly, some users think index is something other than what it really is.

Index is using two fingers to play. It doesn't really matter which ones, but it's usually done on the index fingers, thus the name.

I personally use my middle fingers to play index.

Sidenote: I thought spread was 4 fingers on the 4 arrows using two hands.

I know this has no relevance to FFR lingo, but I find it so hard to concentrate on playing the game when all of the arrows are different colors. Is it just me? I know this is to make it harder to play the game because hand-eye coordination has to be superb to master this...but I have always been known to have decent coordination...guess I will just have to work harder on it!
