screenshrinking

Can anyone explain further how to screenshrink than oh just cut the screen in half because i do that and it has no effect n it would be nice seeing as i can play rose on stepmania with c400 but i cant play it on ffr with c300 the notes r 2 close o.o i really would like to screen shrink lol

to screen shrink click restore down in the top right corner, then just drag the ffr page up, then scroll up so you can only see a little less then half the screen

Top right of your browser you have three buttons.

From left to right they are minimise, restore, close.

You want to push restore so you have a window that you can manipulate into whatever size you want.

and after i do that i just make the screen smaller is what everyone says to do and when i do that and start a song it does NOT change the scroll speed at all

No it doesn't change the scroll speed, but if you have less time to react to the arrows then your mind acts as if the arrows are going faster.

it doesnt matter really i have gotten preety far down ranks without it i dont really need it

Thats because the rank is based of points. You could get rank 1 by playing Mario with your tongue over and over. Go look at your average rank, and then look at the average rank of someone who has been playing approximately the same time as you with shrink. That's where you'll see the difference.

i havent seen many in .09 years hit rank 7.5k o.o with nere my crappy ranked scores

In the 4 months I played I hit rank 300'ish. That was without screenshrinking too because nobody at that point had thought about screenshrinking as a viable means of being better.

Also, others have gone down in rank faster, purely because overall rank is based on how much points you have.

The only thing that truly matters nowadays is average rank.
