Working at getting good at FFR.

I'm try to get good at this game, but I find it quite difficult. Reading through the forum for suggestions, as well as seeing my brother play, have helped - som.

So, I'm going to post some questions to see if anyone can give pointers:

    - What is the best way to work on reaction time in songs? I try the same song over and over, but when a lot of arrows come, for me that means close-together arrows for a sustained length of time, I tend to lock up and miss a key or even worse- just not hit anything.

    - I'm using the current strategy for playing: arrows going down, and scrolling until I can only see half of the screen. This seems to work quite well, and I find it much easier to play like this than when I see the full screen. However, sometimes I will miss a up or down arrow due to the Combo XXX being in the way, suggestions?

    - I need to practice a couple of different "combos" that I seem to find a lot. Suggestions on songs to work on these would be great:
    ...hitting 2 keys at once
...hitting keys in a progression (left, down, up, right or the reverse)

    Now, for a final request:
A list of songs that I should progress from one to the next. Like, if I get comfortable with my ability on x, then move on to y. As of right now, I think I can do the ))) difficulty, as in, get through the song. I usually cannot FC the song due to problems I've stated above.

PS: Sorry about the redundant information, which I'm sure I've included. <_<
    PPS: Thanks in advance!
