Hi.

I was linked to this place from a Yahoo chatroom.

I won't post anymore until I'm sure how to post here (don't wanna piss off the regulars and such)

and...that's it I guess.

Anything I need to know before I start?

The timing windows are much different than SM. During jacks you must start a little bit earlier than you would in SM. The scoring system is based mainly on combo. There are no speed mods yet, but screenshrinking works as a good substitute. It looks like this:

You basically cut off half of your screen so you see less of it. It makes it seem like the arrows are moving faster and your brain processes less.

Oh, and you seem like a good poster from your first post. Don't be discouraged to post. You are 10000X better than the average person on FFR.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not exactly a social butterfly though so I'm always a bit discouraged when joining a new community. I'm also using invisible mode. <3 you guys.

P.S I just played a few games and noticed that some song have noteskins like SM but some are all blue and somewhat offsync...

older songs dont have noteskins and haven't been resynced yet.

One more thing: Can someone tell me the relationship between score and credits awarded?

Credits are based on your total score for the song you play.

Up to 24 credits, it's 50,000 points to one credit.

Then, at 1,500,000 points, you get another credit, making it 25. You can't get more than 25 per game.
