Not sure if I'm a straight up newb, I just seem to have hit a dead end in my abilities. I've been practicing on Secret Zombie Room mostly, but its been about a month or 2 and I simply cannot improve. I've tried all types of techniques, adjusting resolution, shrinking the window to half size (Which does help a little, my eyes keep wanting to look down the page). I simply cannot seem to get more then a 30-60 combo on SZR. Maybe I need a song in between 136.6 and SZR? I dunno. I can easily FC 136.6, which is why I moved on to SZR.

I seem to remember getting frustrated with ffr when I was a total noob. Try Step Mania. I think it's more fun and will make you better at FFR even faster then FFR ever could. Get KB packs, and start playing them, they might be too hard at 1st, so pick easier things at 1st and play various files, don't stick on 1 thing and do it over and over. That's the sure way to get stuck at one point and not improve at all. -

Playing songs that are harder than what your skill level is is pretty much the way you get better. Just practice.

How steep of a learning curve are you taking?
I'd say only spend about a month on one difficulty before trying to move on. It's slow, but it's steady.
