No, it's quite funny. What operating system are you running? I'm guessing windows, right? At the bottom right hand corner of your screen there is a little speaker icon, click on it, a panel will pop up, select mute.

Mac: Top right hand corner, click on the speaker icon, lower it.

Well considering the whole point of FFR is to play the arrows in unison with the song that is playing, it wouldn't make sense to shut off the music and listen to something else while just pressing the arrows. Why would you even want to do that in the first place? I guess you could just mute your computer and then listen to a device that can play music that's not on the computer ;X

hoochan has got the best answer. at least ffr related anyways. unless its listed under the options when you right click the ffr window, and access the flash options. it might not be there, im just too lazy to check.
