Well, hi... Let me introduce myself.
I'm Skullyhead, 17 year old and I life in The Netherlands.
I've started playing Stepmania in...I think it's April this year, but I was interested in DDR a loooong time before that. I've seen some movies where people had to push buttons with their feet with arrows on a screen. Add music and it was like they where dancing. I liked that idea. Then, last year, I went to some sort of game convention, and I got to play some for myself. I think it was some sort of pump it up (with diagonal arrows right?). A few months later I decided to do some more research about this and I found stepmania.

Now, today, I still play it (without a pad! I dont have enough space in my room ). Index style.

But ofcourse you guys aren't interested in my stories! But I have a little question before you can start playing some more FFR

Right now, I can clear "Emerald Sword" and "Quasar" 1.2x rate, but I have NEVER EVER AAA'ed something. I keep getting Greats on every song. Even on easy steps :/. I thought that I should auto synch. the songs but that didn't solve the problem. Can anyone give me some advice about this? I'd appriciate that.

Now go play FFR/DDR/Stepmania/pump it up/groove or whatever you like.

Hi, welcome, read the stickies, and follow the rules.

Edit: oh, my advice? Try using a higher speed mod if you're not using a fast one. Just keep practicing, also, and you should get better.

First off: WELCOME!

Ok, Now the only way to get better is to keep playing and have fun! It'll do more good then trying to be like Rocky and train for it. Trust me, the only thing I did was make the timing window smaller then SM has it at first, Then it's just have fun!

And yeah, read the stickies, follow the rules, dont make fun of Synthlight =)

What's this "Timing window"? Do you mean the speed like "2x/3x/c500?"

No, it's How precise you have to hit the arrow. Like on level 1, you can it the arrow when it's halfway off the Stepzone and still get a Great/Perfect. On lvl 4, you can hit the arrow when it's a little off the Stepzone and get a Perfect. On lvl 8, You have to wait till it is precisly over the Stepzone in order to get a perfect (more like Great, 8 is hard) and on Justice, Perfects are a thing of the past. at first, SM has it on 4. you can change it in the options at the Main Menu (Not the options doing a game).

If you played DDR before, then try 5 for now.

C500 is pretty good, but try increasing to C600/C620 to increase your accuracy.

C500 is pretty good, but try increasing to C600/C620 to increase your accuracy.
