    Creating steps

Is it possible to create steps on stepmania while the song is going, and scrolling down? (Like improvisation the way through)

I'm pretty sure there's a way, brb checking.
Edit: escape > player options > reverse, then use ctrl + r. You may need to use ctrl + p before doing that to highlight the whole song first.

Yeah, you just select an area and then do Ctrl+R and it will record. Make sure to select the right notes to use before you record. If you have 4th notes selected, you will only be able to use 4th notes while recording. Having 8th notes selected would let you use 8th and 4th notes, etc.

Edit: Heh, Doug has it covered.

also, how can I get the whole song selected? when I do ctrl p, it only does like the first 2 measures and cuts out.

          Re: Creating steps

Ctrl p goes to the end of where you have notes, so go put one note where the song really ends, and it should highlight the whole thing.
