on stepmania i have songs in the song file but it tells me that i have no songs when i play

Well it was mostly meant to show you that you can't just have songs free in the Songs folder. Your songs need to be in a folder inside of the songs folder. So, make a folder for every category of song you have, or each pack, and put the song's folder inside of the category's folder.

Program Files / Stepmania / Songs / *insert another folder here* / *folder for each invidivual song* /

and inside the folder for each song, you need at least an .mp3 file and either a .dwi or .sm file.

16 all i can do on the cp is like go onb the net im not really good with computers im a skateboarder but i love ddr so thats why im not good with computers

Well, what we've posted includes step by step instructions on how to put songs onto Stepmania. If it's still not working, either 1) Your song files are corrupt; 2) Your Stepmania program isn't working; 3) You are not following the instructions correctly.

I'm going to guess that it is 3. Let's start from the beginning. You downloaded Stepmania and it probably ended up in My Computer -> Program Files -> Stepmania. Is that correct?
