need help!!!

I need tips on how you can see all those arrows all at once and how to time them so well, I am getting better but when I dry a difficult one I just can't see all the arrows at once and fail miserably, I play the piano and am very good at reading the music so I don't get with this should be much different...

HELP PLZ

i play the piano too (gr. 7) and am quite decent at sight reading, but the differences between FFR and the piano are too fundamental for piano experience to help. I am also a beginner at FFR, but I still have problems with it, but I noticed considerable improvement after 12 hours of play, just before I gave up. So please just give it some time

You can try adjusting the window so that you can only see about half of the games screen. The arrows that are yet to come won't distract you from the arrows you need to concentrate on hitting. The rate at which the arrows flow from the bottom of the screen to the top is constant, so figure out when to hit the arrows on a beginner song, then apply that to the more difficult songs.

Funny, I usually focus on the arrows that are just appearing instead of the ones I'm about to hit. Gives me a wider pespective of what is to come and when I should hit. I play more calmly that way, whereas while solely focusing on what is about to reach the arrows you will freak out and attempt to click as fast as you can. Your reaction time will worsen if you're not used to reading so quickly.

you registered and started playing within the past 48 hours. PRACTICE. give it a few months to get better... some people have been playing for years and still aren't very good.

there is no way on earth to just magically get awesome overnight. it takes practice. end of story.

On the contrary, I found it useful to look at the arrows appearing from the bottom, so I have enough time to react to them. I tried paying attention to the top and making sure that I pressed the arrow right when it crosses the "placeholder arrows" at the top (I'm not sure what the correct name for those stationary arrows are), but I ended up having a slow reaction time, then I rush trying to get back on track. This is my first day on FFR and I've been playing SM for about a couple weeks, so I don't have too much knowledge of things around here. To each his own, I suppose.

Prime: you'll understand when you start getting to really hard songs. I agree with you that for easy songs it is better to see more of the window... but for the hardest songs, you'll want to screencut.

Probably anything that is like... Challenging or higher. Maybe even less than that... hard for me to judge, as I haven't been in that realm of not being very good for a LONG time.

The thing is, if your looking at the arrows coming onto screen then your paying less attention to the arrows you have to hit. On the easier songs it's not much of a problem, but on the harder songs I find it easier to read the arrows on a half-screen since there aren't so many of them at once.

Well, I've been doing well on Challenge and still doing what I normally do. Granted, I tend to look back up at the top every once and a while, so I guess my sight is getting adjusted to the harder songs, like you said.

Settings -> Sudden. FTW

makes 30 - 60% (my experience) of the FFR gamescreen go black, and let the arrows fade in.
