    Introduction and newb question

Hey all, started playing about a month ago I believe, great game (DEFINATLY challenging ), and I hope to get better quickly.
I have one question though, frequently when I hit a key slightly late I get a GOOD reaction followed almost instantly by a miss for the same key, why does this happen? Been driving me nuts, about 95% of my misses on standard and lower are from those now...

my advice is........play stepmania instead of ffr, you can speed up songs on stepmania, making them more fun and in your case easier, no cluster arrow problems.

not sure I understand... My problem is getting both a good and a miss from a single keypress... This happens even with single arrows sometimes...

        Hello.

Do you get the Good and the Miss at the same time for one key press? Because you might be holding the key down too long. Try to avoid that by just tapping the keys instead of slamming down on them, which will also make the keys last longer.

If that doesn't work, then you may have some technical problem that I won't be able to help with.

        Otherwise, welcome and enjoy.

It very well may be the duration for which you're holding down the keys too long. When you hold down a key on the keyboard it repeats the response until you release the key like sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo <- I just held down the "o" key. So if you hold the key in, the arrow response will be repeated and you'll record multiple presses instead of one.

nah, thanks for the help though. I found something on it in the bugs section and apparently it's a known issue if you hit the key just slightly too late. Both "good" and "miss" show up but only the miss counts.
