    Can I use a dance pad for FFR?

    Hi. I figure that this would be a question that lots of people might have asked, but I can't find an answer anywhere. So apologies if it isn't new, but:

    I figure FFR would be tons of fun if I could buy a dancepad and use it to, like, dance - with my feet and all... is it do-able? If so, what type of dancepad do I need to buy? Any special issues that arise?

      It is.

      You have to hook it up to your computer in some way.

      I dunno how.

          i dont think it will work...unless ffr gets like iono,somthing like were ur in vidchat and ur mic is detected...R1 doesnt have a feature like that...besides only way this would be fun is to hook ur compy up to a big screen tv so u can atleast read and see whats going on...maybe R3 will have it..not sure.

              you can. you can use a program such as www.autohotkey.com to remap your keys to your dancepad...

              do a search for "autohotkey" and you should find the thread that explains in detail how to remap your keys.

                  Meh, I was close...I did hear about that program...didn't it sometimes not work for some people, like it wouldn't register more that 2 keys at a time?

                  I dunno...just a thought.

                      There's also the drawback of most of the songs on FFR being meant specifically for being played with your fingers. With a dance pad, it would limit you to the easy songs.

                          Yes that is true. Its is practicly immpossble to play most ffr songs on a step pad. But you can try, Your not going to beat anything higher than standard unless ur flash from the Incredables.

                              verry true. Try AAA'ing Excited Hyper Highspeed Star on a dance pad.

                                  i use my dance pad sometimes but its really laggy for me, though its good excersize but makes the place ur in really stink

                                  P.S. im really good at DDR but the hardest song i can do is resurrection in progress so i dont recommend the pad, but do what you will
