and then there's the whole.. tempo vs. arrow thing. when i'm hitting the arrows according to the tempo instead of when they actually are and getting GOODs instead of PERFECTs >.<

i know how you feel! and i CANNOT play multiplayer unless i do beginner levels because i have so much lag. im just happy that i am getting a new computer soon. i just hope that it will arrive soon, cuz i cant really stand this much longer.

If you're having a problem with the tempo, turn the sound off.

Also try changing the graphics level on the little circle somewhere on the screen (can't get a screen shot) Anyways, it has a number. If you click it, you can determine your graphics resolution. That should make it run a little less laggy.

click the q for quality in the upper left corner about 3 times. As for tempo, some songs are incredibly offbeat, just get used to it, or play different songs.

wow i feel like an idiot never figuring out what the Q meant. i always tried to think of what started with q. i thought of quit and then my mind would go blank, and since im on a mac its always lagging, so i just went on the game and on my first try got a new PR on etude to a dragon. thanks for that word of advice up there.
