    Help with WinZip

    I'm trying to zip a file so i can put it on SM and I cant I keep getting and error message =(

    Can someone help me put my own songs on SM?

    EDIT: I just kinda need the steps to putting a song from my "archives" into SM so I can stepfile it

    Well it sounds like you're trying to put a ziped folder into your 'C:/Program Files/Stepmania/Songs/SomeSongFolder'.

    If this is what you're trying to do then it won't work, only full files can be put into there (no zipfiles allowed).

    Also tell us what the error message says to give us a better idea of whats going on.

      Ok well I fixed that problem I just dont know hoiw to make my song into a .dwi I have the mp3 and I'm making a background I just need to know how to make it so I have a .dwi also

      EDIT: The song is still not on SM

        try asking about this in the DDR Simulator Forum... or even better, read the stickies in that forum. Also read the stickies in the Simulator Files forum... both places have information on how to create stepfiles for your music and put it into SM.

        if the stickies in those forums don't help, try posting a thread in one of them about this. they are much better at helping there than here, for that issue.

            What i do, is make a folder with your own music and backgrounds/banners ect. The i copy the stpefile (.dwi) from another song, rename it and then edit the steps in stepmania and save it as a different name.
