Just use a laptop. One handers are the Hardest Core Players of FFR. I don't know of any "mousers" as T0ra said. If there are. They are the hardest core.

Same for me, I normally play with one hand (the right). I haven't found the up/down double to be too difficult. I extend my middle finger to hit up with the flesh of the fingertip and down with the hard part of the first knuckle. What usually causes more problems for me is a left/down/up/right combination at high(er) speeds. I haven't figured out a good way to hit that. Anyone have tips?

well i know how to do left/down, but up/right? yea i could use a little tip for dat too. Oh, and i use standard keyboard and i hope to improve on it first (as u can see my noob scores and ranks...and seriously noob) before i switch to laptop-keyheight keys.

I use a laptop all the time since that's my home computer. I think I hit the up/down double in one of two ways. One is by extending my middle finger across both keys so that I press up with the flesh under the tip of the finger and down with the hard part under the first knuckle. The other way is by using the tip of the finger to press on the bottom edge of up and the top edge of down, basically pushing down on the space between the two keys. This puts my finger on about half of each key which is enough to press them both down and have them both register. I have hit them with two fingers, middle on up and index on down, which is probably better once you get used to it (because you only have one finger per key), but it seems to give me a little trouble. I tend to hit up/down together better if I use one finger. I think I use the first method on slower songs and the second method on faster songs, but I don't pay close attention. *shrug* I hope this helps.

Edit: Oops, I wrote about up/down. For up/right, I just use the middle finger on the up arrow and the ring finger on the right arrow. That's pretty much a normal position -- index on left, ring on right, middle covering up and down. I don't think I've hit the up/right double any other way.

Middle finger for up arrow, Index for left arrow, ring for right arrow. (one handed) Im not too good... I can get a perfect score on Burnout if i get lucky. Otherwise i have a decent score on it. And i just exten my middle finger to hit both the up and down key, it isnt too hard. I really want to get the hand of two handed, much easier scoring.

It gets hard for songs like flight of the bumble bee but that one i cant do.

my fingering:

left: right index
right: right middle
down: left index
up: left middle

it works really well, for me. iirc, it took a little while to get used to, but it's really really worked out for me.

My whole left hand, excluding the thumb and pinky, although I'm right handed. I still have yet to practice with 2 hands.
