What causes the key board to not respond? One game im using my key board and the next only the mouse works.

Don't click outside the flash's space before playing. Or, right as soon as a song starts, click somewhere on the flash. Like click on the background ingame or something. Not for sure, but what might be going on is that the game is losing focus and thus can't detect keystrokes. This is likely if it doesn't happen in the middle of playing.

as for the problem the games disables the key leaving me with only the use of the mouse to play the game.

that makes no sense whatsoever. the game doesn't do anything to your keyboard...

if what itmorr said is not true, my advice would be to check and make sure your numlock is not on. having numlock on can make it so you don't register more than 2 keystrokes at a time. BUT, having numlock off makes it so you can't use the numpad to play FFR (which many people do).
