    I have a few questions.

Hi, I'm new, so I have a few questions about FFR. First, how do you unlock the secret and unavailable songs? Second, why doesn't Flight of the Bumblebee have a catagory when you click on it? (like difficult, for masters only, etc.) Third, do you have to have a charactar, and what does it do for the game? I'll probably think of more at a later time, but that's all for now.

    Secret songs - Get credits

Unavailable songs are not actually songs, they are just empty spaces.

Fotbb is too awesome to have a difficulty.

Character is not required, it does nothing for the game.

Oh, okay, that helps a lot. Also, How many credits do you have to get to have secret songs? And can you lose credits or secret songs other than in a challenge?

        Ok.

First, how do you unlock the secret and unavailable songs?
You get more secret category songs by having more credits. I believe you unlock the last secret song at 3000 credits.

Songs named "unavailable" are simply empty slots. There is no unlocking songs in those slots, except for some songs in Purchased and Secret.

Second, why doesn't Flight of the Bumblebee have a catagory when you click on it? (like difficult, for masters only, etc.)
I'm not 100% on it, but I think it's just a random thing they forgot to add and simply never fixed it.

I suspect it won't matter once 3rd Style comes out. I assume that a different and more effective difficulty rating system will be implemented.

Third, do you have to have a charactar, and what does it do for the game?
It's not necessary. I suppose it's supposed to add more fun to the score evaluation screen, but the characters don't really function right a lot of the time. Sometimes, you'll fail a song and your character will have a huge smile. Other times, you'll do especially well on the song and your character will have a frown.

Either way, they just add some extra flavor. They aren't needed for play and don't affect play at all.

I'll probably think of more at a later time, but that's all for now.
        Ok.

EDIT: I gotta learn to type shorter and faster responses so I can beat these other guys in.

        EDIT*2:
And can you lose credits or secret songs other than in a challenge?
Only way to lose credits are:

        #1: losing challenges.
#2: buying songs for Purchase category.
#3: If you try to use the credit transfer feature (THAT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE) you may lose credits.

Re: I have a few questions.

To unlock all of them I think you need 3000 credits, but if you then buy songs (for the purchased area) your secret songs will disappear until you get the required amount again for each one.

You can only really lose credits in a challenge.

EDIT: Afro how slow do you type? I got in a response, and he responded back by the time you had replied.

It takes a long time to format a post like that haha. Actually I think I minimized and went to another thread for a second, thinking that no one else would respond, because often, I am the only one to answer such questions.

Re: I have a few questions.

The early secret songs are every 50 credits. Burnout is the first at 50, Secret Zombie Room at 100, Fett's Vette at 150... etc etc etc up to at least 550 for the 11th. Not sure what the process is after that, but there are 19 secret songs total, with Hyper Pressure being the last one, at 3000.

Also, you can lose secret songs if you Purchase songs in the FFR Shop. Say you have 600 credits, buy a song for 500... you're left with 100. You will now only have 2 secret songs instead of 11 or 12.

You can lose credits via challenges or buying songs. That is it. The credit transfer system works again...

Every other question of yours was answered properly. My answers expand upon some things that others said. You should have everything answered now.

Oh... one last thing. You earn credits based on score. 1 credit for every 50,000 points you get on a song (rounded down). get 112,000 and you'll get 2 credits. Max is 25, for any score over 1,250,000.

When did this happen? I seem to recall people complaining about losing a lot of credits from trying to use the credit transfer within the last month or so.

Maybe the problem is just in trying to send credits to YOURSELF. That's probably what it is.

                            About the FOTBB deal.

I think I'm one of the few around to date that remembers this...

But it used to be a hidden song used for a competition about 3 years back and then in this new rendition of FFR the song was implemented and not hidden anymore...

The difficulty rating is technically higher than any other song out there (Because it's too awesome :P) and a higher difficulty rating has just never been added...

Maybe it would have by now if Synth wasn't too busy playing Halo2 on XBL :P

Glad to see all your other questions got answered

Good call zajac. I knew that, but just forgot that it was one of the questions.

To further it... there is a 2nd song (Silence? I think) that also has no rank.. basically, it goes like this:
