Help with Beethoven Virus

Aside from the few beyond difficult parts of this song, I have most of it down. I'm trying to nail the first crazy 7 combo part in the very beginning of the song but I'm having trouble picking up the pattern. It's the same pattern that's repeated throughout the song about 4 times. I have tried a billion times to get it down right but something just isn't right... To me it seems like I'm hitting the keys perfect but something is off. Is this part off-beat? Am I missing something at all? I know it's sort of hard to give advice about this sort of thing through text, but any advice would be great.

Well, that happened to me as well. I figured out that at the very end there is a 46 jump. (left right) Hope this helps.

Edit: Compleatly ignore what I said. I just tryed it again and I realized that I was wrong

Listen to the music to figure out the approximate timing of the song. Although it doesn't match up perfectly, you should be able to get the part down. Again, once you get the pattern, you will continue to get it throughout the rest of the song. Best of luck to you and a big welcome to FFR. Continue typing like that and you will get more respect then even some of our "veterans"

OMGWTF PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!

also try SM to improve your hand speed.

ALSO play at a high speed mod for SM so that when you come back to FFR the arrows will seem a lot slower

If it helps, the fast (16th) part in the beginning with the violins is:
4248264, with the #s corresponding to directions on the numpad. Hope that helps.
P.S. It's not offsync at all (by ffr standards), its just fairly hard.

It's not offsync, you just can't read it. When I was somewhat new, if I just couldn't read a part no matter what, I would print screen the part when I got to it then just paste it in paint and look at the steps and memorize how to do it. aka hit the buttons over and over and just have it committed to my muscle memory. I actually did it with that same exact part back in the day.

I had same problem, I couldnt hit those parts no matter what, so I quit ffr and about 2 months later I try ffr again for heck of it and I FC it on 1st try. Forgot to mention that I played SM.

I know the pattern of the part I'm having trouble with now, and still can't hit it... I can almost FC Platypus but I'm having trouble with a stupid 7 arrow combo in BV -_- So, not to derail my own thread, but what are some good songs to practice with on SM?

anything that gives you a challenge.. and just practice, can do same on FFR, I just quit it because of lag and limited song selection.

Just keep practicing any challenging songs on SM. Make sure to use speed mods to help with your reading/reaction skills so that when you come back to FFR, everything will seem a lot easier. SM will also increase your PA and soon you will be AAAing things. As long as you keep practicing, you can only get better. Best of luck to you.

Do anything on Stepmania you can consistently pass but only get low grades on (C's and B's or omg D's)
