Why is it that I can FC a song... yet my max combo is only 81% orf the record holder? And yes, I'm not mistaken about FC'ing it, it's happened on other levels, but I've gotten 98/99%...

Because the record holder was more accuracte. Perfects are worth more than what you're probably getting.

99% score of record holder, not combo. Although the points given for combo are much more than the points for just hitting the arrows.

Combo = how much you score in general
Accuracy = how much you score in fine detail

So you could have an FC but have such bad accuracy that you are only 75% of the way there. Though more likely, as has already been said, the top scorer has hacked their score.

normally, if you fc a song, you should then try to beat and fc that song with only goods and perfects.
fcing a song should get your score close to number ones score
just gotta work on those averages and boos.

AAA Can be hard though. AAA Should be the last thing someone wants to aim for.

Depending on your accuracy, AAA's can be hard or easy. I'm more of a person who can take barrages of notes (and barely survive), and less of an accuracy-happy person.
