A simfile is a DDR simulation file. It means a song for SM/FFR (although the simfile database stuff only works in SM) and its steps.

A "vidfile" is just a video =P

haha, i know what all this stuff is, but the stupid thing is is that the simfile i downloaded won't work on stepmania! ?? ^_^

Here's how you get simfiles to work.

1: Go to C:/Program Files/StepMania/Songs.
2: Create a new folder to contain songs. I myself have folders set up with putting individual files in an Other Sims folder, and with simfile packs, I have them in a seperate file to lower confusion. Oh BTW, you can name the folder ANYTHING. Be either specific, or specifically retarded.
3: Place the simfiles you download into the folder you have made.
4: Overview. Make sure everything is ok.
5: Play SM.

Wow. Reading this really brings me back. (like a couple months isn't that sad, now I make my own songs ^.^)
