it's just being a mod they are kinda set in my mind to at least know a little of wut they're doing

ok for probs i have the mp3 file and a backround pic inside a file folder in my laiceps music folder but thats about as far as i can go on scratch in know how to edit the dwi's but i dont know how to go abbout mapping/making all the different files

so help plz
(oh and while it's on my mind, major kudos to afrobean on the x-men simfie)

Being a mod has nothing to do with being able to make simfiles.

Hell, some of the mods don't even play the game (at least not well).

i have the song in the folder for feuer frei in teh proper location and a backround pic but that is as far as i can get so i need helpp on how to make it accessable to make a dwi so i can dance the f^+$#er

meaning i need the title thing that you see in the menu when u choose the song

you know the title with the spinning stepmaina logo

and i need to know if n/e kind of special change needs to be made to make the backround pic be in the backround

The spinning logo thing is called a cdtitle; there is a line for it in the .dwi file. As far as the background pic and others go, it would be best if they are in .png format. Other than that just make sure they are the right size: bacground pic is 640x480, banner is 256x80, the cdtitle doesn't have a set size, but it would be best to keep it small like 80x40 roundabouts.

so how do i go about resizing them and making them into a .png (it's not that i'm a n00b on comps it's that image buggery isn't my thing)

then how do i make the .dwi file with all the stuff in it (do i do it like with making .dat files? make a text file type in the commands the save it as a .exe)

Just make a new text file and rename the extension .dwi instead of .txt, and if you need to know what else goes in the .dwi or anything like that, look in the Stepmania and Simfiles forum at the stickies or just look at someone else's .dwi to see what you need to put in there. Resising images and saving them in .png format can easily be done in MSPaint which comes with Windows and is pretty simple to use.

C'mon... its ok that our new member asking the question didn't know, and newb forum is an ok place to ask I guess... but some of you people should know about that guide.
