I'm having a HUGE problem playing index. Look, whenever a pattern comes like this:

LEFT DOWN UP RIGHT UP DOWN LEFT

I guess I should alternate fingers, but it just doesn't go. My fingers always automatically do

LEFT DOWN with left index

UP RIGHT UP with right index

DOWN LEFT with left

But I really try to alternate. It makes me feel like I play crossed, thats also impossible for me :/ My brain just gets confused as hell and I can't do shit.

It's actually quite "normal" I keep trying to do this, as the left and down arrow are on the left side of the screen, so I feel like using left hand for it. When I have to use my right hand for a down arrow and left for an up arrows my brain just craps up.

Any suggestions ?

If you really want to go the index way, then you just have to keep trying until you get it

If you have that left right thing going then the four finger way may not be bad for you

I know exactly what you're talking about. I used to have trouble with 4826284826... and I even still have trouble with 48284824 type patterns.

You just need to practice. I'm almost over 48284 type patterns. Just play songs with patterns you have trouble with and you'll eventually figure it out.

those paterns r hard for me to do too i have soo much trouble with em i can never get =( indexing those r just a little hard to undertsand for me

And yea, I'm a pretty good player on 4 fingers, but I really want to learn indexes.

I'm glad other people also experience problems with it, because it really is unnatural for me.

/off to practise some more
