I've never played a step game before yesterday, spare playing DDR once at the arcade years ago. Is this normal progress or should I kick it up?

I know this is probably a typical noob question, but where can I get some beginner steps for SM? Thanks for all input.

it takes months to get good bro...definitely very good for a first timer though...most songs come with beginning and easy and heavy and challenge steps or whatnot so just try downloading different songs.

I know it's an easy song, but this was the first song I ever played and I almost have it owned.



And this is my accomplishment for the week. So this is my 4th day (technically, since it's 4 AM.) I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Thanks for the input on difficulty levels. I just found out you can change them with ^^ or vv, since selecting the difficulty prior to the song list never seemed to work for me. Thx for input and encouragement.

EDIT: Is Boost considered an added difficulty, or does it generally make songs easier to hit? I'm used to FFR's crappy timing, so the boost seems to help me out a lot. Although I've gone through songs not realizing it wasn't on, it generally improves my timing and combos; especially on songs where the steps overlap or are very close together.

Just gimme a few months. I'm going to write some Aphex Twin steps that'll blow everyone's minds. I love playing, but what I really want to do is contrib.
