    hello

    I've been playing FFR for a while and not really going on the forums, so I thought I would say hello.

    Also, I've got a question about combos and how they affect your score. I'm working on a song I can only beat about 10% of the time, and so I cleared it and got a score higher than I had before. Then I tried again and got a combo up to the middle of the song where I always die, and then died. And I saw that my score was higher than the one where I cleared the song. So how exactly do combos affect your score?
    MADE YOU LOOK!!!!! HA HA HA!!!

    It\'s not against the rules to have someone else\'s stats is it???

    RE: hello

    Welcome.

    I'm not entirely sure, but combos affect your score the most. If you have a high combo you get a higher score. It works something like a multiplier.. but I'm not sure one what scale. You can tell because score and total score are usually very different depending on combo.

    To add to this: You may get a higher score per note for a larger combo. Meaning if I manage to get a perfect on a note from a 8 combo, it won't be as high a score if I get a perfect from a 100 combo.

      Ok, this is how it breaks down.
      During gameplay:
      Perfect = 50
      Good = 25
      Average = 5
      Miss = -10
      Then at the end of the score it counts how many of each you had and works it like this:
      Perfect * 500
      Good * 250
      Average * 50
      Combo * 1000
      Then subtract this:
      Miss * 300
      and then add the in game score to this total to get your final score. Obviously combos are a big deal.

      Straight from the FAQs.

      Oh, yeah. Have fun and welcome!

        Thank you. You also alerted me to the presence of the FAQ, which I then found.
