but how do you unlock more songs?

The more credits you have, the more songs will show up in the "Secret" section. I believe there are 15 song in that category once you unlock them all.

You can also purchase them in the FFR shop, but for quite a bit of credits.
The most of the secret songs are unlocked in sequential order (50 Credits each) untill you hit Syth, then you get them about every 200-500 Credits. Currently, after you hit 2k, no more songs can be unlocked.
