    Switching Styles

Im new and I read the Styles page...

Naturaly i find the one handed position to be easier to play the easier songs.
But im afraid that once im good enough to move up im not going to be able to play the harder songs no matter how good i am... so is it hard to switch?

Id like to switch to the SPREAD style but not sure how to set it up for different keys on the keyboar. Anybody know how i can do that?

    RE: Switching Styles

If you want my opinion I never used the spread style. At first I started one-handed and I was doing pretty good. I knew if I wanted to be better so I decided to switch. After about 500 trys on One Last Battle I got the hang of it.

It really depends, it's easy for some, the hardest thing in the world for others.

Took me about a day to go from two hand to two hand spread.
But I did play one handed, and still do at times.

As long as you can get the basic principal of each style (which finger does where, etc...), you can master each of them.

and for setting them up, in Stepmania, go to key config. In R2, same thing, 'cept you have to click the certian key insted of pressing it. In R1, you can't. Though you can play with the 2648 keys, setting up a "Mini spread" though at times, it can be cramping.

Good luck! You're bound to get the hang of it.

Unless you are the Nima of one hand, then you will not get as good.

But if you're ok with that then it's fine.
