    Hello everyone,

I'm new to FFR, and my friend is like OMG NO STEPMANIA'S so much better and i"m like no stepmania sux ass so yeah. So now I'm here. I ust wanted to ask a quick question. I've heard people talking about, "Index players" and "Spread players" What's the difference? And also, if any of you have any tips for me, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    RE: Noob here.

That debate has happened many times... Stepmania of course is better, but you can't just go to a website and play Stepmania, can you? So each has their advantages and disadvantages. Both are fun, imo.

Anyway, an index player is a player that uses only their index fingers. I play index along with many other players on this site.
A spread player is a 4 finger player that plays on keys that are spread out on the keyboard. So instead of using the arrow keys or num pad, they use setups like sdkl, zxnm, or anything that is comfortable for them.

    Welcome to FFR!
