    Clearing Cache...

Ok putting this here as i feel a total noob asking it, but basically i don't actually know the firs thing about computers.
Just now i tried to play FFR but instead of the normal game screen that comes up after it has loaded it said that i had an out dated version something something and that i needed to clear my cache to play online. Ok so me being me, i looked around a bit, emptied my cookies folder and changed the settings in 'tools, general' so that internet temp files can take more space, but that hasn't worked, so i am guessing i am doing something wrong. HELP ME PLEASE!
Oh the shame, sorry that this is such a stupid question for all of you.

    RE: Clearing Cache...

If you have FireFox it is really quite simple. If you don't have it this is a problem in itself.

Firefox is a free web browser backed by Mozilla, a non-profit dedicated to internet health and privacy.

First off go into the tools toolbar and go down to Options...
    Click the privacy tab.

    You see this...

As the picture states, hit the button that clears your cache.

    It's that simple.

            Absolutely.

Oh and there is an enourmous list of resons why FireFox is better than IE. You don't want to get rid of IE because you need it for Windows Updates, but you should never use it.

It has 150% of the functionality of IE.

Is it even possible to uninstall Internet Explorer?

Got firefox today, using it now actually and it did sort stuff out.
Yey, can play again, except sometimes the songs don't load properly when i am using it to play, like the arrows don't come up and the music doesn't play, is there any way to stop this happening or is it just one of those things to be tolerated?
Also downloaded a Spyware doctor which found 976 spy/adaware things floahing around so got rid o those as well.
But can any one suggest a free virus detector as i let my norton subscription run out and don't really want to pay for it again, dread to think what nasty things are eating away at my poor little laptop...

Firefox is safer, more reliable, and faster. I refuse to give advice about internet to anyone who uses IE or AOL.

Opera, or some other browser is fine though.

HOLY HELL! NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX spyware items?!! WOW, you really (and I mean REALLY) need to secure your PC!

About the glitch, that happens to me too. Just get a bunch of boos and fail then hit the Play Again button. It works the second time.

Fair enough. Thanks for all the help.
Oh and smashman- i know it was crazy bad, all collected in about 6 months. But all sorted now, thanks to all the lovely people at FFR who know so much more than me (and a helpful little site that has spyware removal stuff to download)!
Still need a decent virus scanner removal thing though if anyone has any suggestions?
