Well that can mean:
1. You're not putting it in the right spot
2. The website you are trying to hotlink is either down or blocks hotlinking

You need to upload the picture onto the internet first. Unless my documents is an ftp folder, i'd recommend www.imageshack.us
OBEY THE IMAGE SIZES.
