    Wich gets you better?

lately I have been trying hard at getting better. (I have played almost 200 games since friday and I still have trouble with some easy levels.)

So I was wondering; Wich is gets you better faster? playing harder levels over and over (like well over yourl skill level)? or playing songs that you can beat but you want to try to perfect them?

Neither... playing easy songs won't help because you can already do them.

Playing hard songs won't help because you're just going to press random arrows.

Play slightly harder songs until you can master them. If you can't find any on FFR that seem to match your skill level download Stepmania and download Simfiles for it at Bemaistyle.

You should've said perfecting songs at your level, instead of easy songs. Definately perfecting songs will be more help, if what you're trying to do is get good. All you will learn by going through songs too far above your level is how to fake through songs. This will never get you a good score and won't impress anyone except for people who don't play FFR.

Stepmania is sorta like ffr, just u can get more songs for it, and its not flash. But many many people have problems putting songs onto it because its hard to learn, but after the first time, it becomes simple.

You should play songs that have parts that are specified to what you are worst at. Like if you suck at trills or air, play songs that have a lot of them. But don't play something too hard or too easy.

Trills are when you alternate between two notes very quickly, air is when you hit two keys at the same time. Search the forums for other terminology.

I mostly do songs that are a challenge to do. I agree with Freak83, mid-level ones are best for me.
