a stepfile is the written document that holds the notes that you use to play a song on FFR/SM.

1) Never write in colored text again in your life.
2) Simfiles are songs with steps for SM
3) Click the big red and white buttion toward the top of the screen that says "FFRSIMFILES"

5) Never put a bunch of random smily faces at the end of a post.
