hello i have a n00b question to ask

How come when I play FFR in my main comp, the FFR lags and is slow but when I play in other comps, it is fast and doesn't freeze half the time?

    Thanks for reading

More specificly, what is the speed of your RAM, CPU, what OS, and what browser.

Oh, and make sure you have the latest version of the flash plugin

how many other programs are you running while playing? that 8GB? that your hard drive, or is it 8GHz processor? cause, 96 megs of ram isn't THAT much, especially if you are running other programs or downloading at the same time...

try closing some programs. try another browser. or, as always... clear your cache.

OUCH thats why man, get a better comp dude... you desperately need a better one. Tasselfoot theres NO WAY IN THE WORLD he has an 8GHz processor they dont exist unless you link 3 xenons but that would be 9.

i was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt... and, you could link 2 4GHz together... it just didn't make sense with only 96 ram. figured it was 8GB of HD, which doesn't matter at all for FFR.

Well I know since lagging occurs, I always close Kazaa, MSN etc. and only open ONE IE window. And true, my computer is way old... six years to be exact but its still going so until that stops, I don't think I'm going to get a new one in the near future. But in relevance to my question, what else can I do make the lagging stop?

with a computer that old... and you have it running XP... it can't be running fast. you're stuck with a slow FFR until you get a faster comp. i have 2 comps, one is a 6-7 year old desktop and it plays slower than dirt... i just accept it. sorry.
