whenever i play stepmania, for some reason the songs are skipping. like, say im playing... rhythm and police and im doing really good, then the song skips and i miss like 14 arrows. I was wondering, does this have to do with the speed of me comp, or is it because the stepmania i currently have is fucked up and i need to dl a better version of it. my comp is 2.4GHz.

some things... if you are running an alpha below about 18, i definately recommend updating. 2nd.. what is your fps? that is frames per second.... somewhere in the options menu you can turn this on to see. it should be at least 60... also, what other programs are you running while playing? when i have AIM running while playing and someone from my buddy list goes online/offline, SM skips for half a second... it could also be your POS comp, if you have one, but 2.5GHz is more than enough....
i'd ventue its either your alpha, your fps (which can be affected by how many other programs you have running), or some other programs you have running... so... close out all your useless programs before playing. you'll run smoother.RIPComment
