creating a character

When i beat a level it shows a ? and under that it says create a character. How do i do that?

On the bottom of the FFR main screen, there are a whole lot of rectangles bordering the bottom, click one. There you go. Click different ones for different characters.

Yes, click one of those, when you mouse over the rectangle it shows you what the character looks like...then just click the one you liked best.

Characters don't matter. Maybe in R2 they'll serve a purpose, but right now, they don't.
